What does front wiper blades cost in the UK?
£19 to £45 fitted at an independent garage, VAT included, on a mainstream car. The midpoint of that range is about £32, and where you land inside it is decided by access, parts and wheel size rather than by the garage's postcode.
The blade unclips from the arm and the new one clips on, which is why this is the one job on the list most people can do on the forecourt. Halfords fit blades from £5 on top of the blade price, and list a flat blade at around £14, so one blade fitted is about £19 and a front pair comes to under £40. A franchised network charges £45 for a front pair with approved parts, £55 with genuine parts, and up to £85 on newer models. What changes the price is the fitting type, because the older hook fitting is cheap and universal while newer push button and side pin arms need the matching blade, and length, since the driver's side blade on a large car is not a small part. Rear blades and heated or rain sensing screens are extra.
