Toll bridge since 1792 under Acts of 1792 and 1988; rebuilt 1853, 1902 and 2013-14. Tolls revised by orders in 2009 and 2015 (car 60p). Company acquired by General Estates Company Ltd in 2019; Bridge Card rate reportedly raised to 45p in September 2023.
