History
Concrete box-girder bridge built in 1995 under a Private Finance Initiative contract, with toll buildings at the mainland end (Highland Historic Environment Record MHG17575). After years of protest the Scottish Executive bought out the PFI contract for £27 million in December 2004 and tolling ended.
